What is NOC?

A No Objection Certificate (NOC) is an official document issued by the RTO stating that there are no dues, taxes, or liabilities pending on the vehicle. It is required when transferring a vehicle to another state, selling, or re-registering.

  • Mandatory for inter-state transfer or re-registration.
  • Ensures no legal, tax, or loan issues on the vehicle.
  • Required for address change in a different state.

When & Why is NOC Needed?

How to Get NOC: Step-by-Step

  1. Fill the application form (Form 28 for NOC).
  2. Submit required documents (see below) to your RTO.
  3. Pay the prescribed fee.
  4. RTO verifies for pending dues, loans, or cases.
  5. If clear, NOC is issued. If not, resolve issues first.
  6. Collect NOC certificate from RTO or download (if online).

Note: NOC is valid for a limited period (usually 6 months).
